Despite its age, Jagex has witnessed relatively few court cases linked to its own games. It's currently on its third full iteration, has spawned a retro Old School variant, and even contains a set of mobile titles. Court: Obtaining muted in RuneScape doesn't violate your rights

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit chucked out Amro Elansari's claim in a Jan. 22 judgment. Elansari, a serial litigator who has filed 15 lawsuits in federal district court in the past five decades, sued Jagex, the manufacturer of RuneScape after becoming muted last July. Elansari stated he had been a streamer using 2,000 hours and that its moderators gave no explanation. His appeal to them was refused.

Elansari's lawsuit, which was filed in handwriting on a court-provided form was dismissed by A federal district court judge. When his suit was dismissed in the district level, Elansari took it to a panel, who didn't think much of it.

Elansari also said his claim was among public accommodation discrimination (that is, even some private businesses may not discriminate against their spouses ). The Third Circuit panel n't went for this. "Even generously construing Elansari's criticism to raise a claim of public accommodations discrimination [...] free of stage [...] has Elansari alleged losing access to Jagex's online game because of discrimination based on some of those grounds protected by Title II [of the Civil Rights Act of 1964]," the court wrote.
