The challenges awaiting RuneScape

The news of the pursuit subteam is welcome. For many players, the wide range of quests offered in RuneScape is one of the chief reasons why they keep playing. You can join the rebellion against the vampyric lords in Morytania, uncover the secrets of the Elven race or learn the penguins are acting suspiciously. There are murder puzzle quests, including Murder Mystery, released in 2003, as well as The Needle Skips.

Quest growth has slowed with four being published in 2017 in 2018 and six, making the questers of RuneScape wanting. Hopefully the brand new quest subteam will create a new range of exciting quests, ongoing the subversive, yet engaging, tone that the game is known for. Two quests for 2020 have already been confirmed in RuneFest 2019: the sequel to Desperate Times, Desperate Measures, and also a Town of Sennitsten quest.

Jagex has not, however, only created a selection of subteams. It's also improved the resources of all its important teams.

The hope is these additional tools should not only help increase the flow of content, but also encourage the experimentations with monetisation and Jagex's short-term goal, as Ward described it, of having the"players encounter and see the true direct and deliberate changes and that we're in this regular cadence of opinions". This also signals listening to feedback and a heightened emphasis on communication in the terms of player protection, with players.

The challenges awaiting RuneScape and Jagex in 2020 lie in how it develops its strategy to monetisation and its own efforts to regain the confidence of its area. I'm optimistic about the future of RuneScape, since the basis for these goals appears to have been put. The invention of this subteams and extra resources for the preexisting teams should hopefully ensure players in 2020 do not experience a drop in material, while also helping fresh updates, for example Archaeology and the promised Elder God Wars dungeon, attain their full potential.
