Abilities was so much faster and simpler

Bihpuria, Assam, India Published date: April 1, 2020

Abilities was so much faster and simpler for me using. I can easily reach 1-4 - perhaps 5 if I stretch - onto a keyboard. On the controller I had access to 16 abilities instantly, and another 8 I believe with a different button modifier (I think it was both triggers at once instead of one or the other), in addition to having the ability to change to a different set of 16 abilities by simply pressing a button on the D-pad. Doesn't really surprise me because FFXI was originally launched on console afterward PC (in Japan), it was clearly constructed around the controller because the keyboard controls were horrible, so I envision despite the fact XIV release on PC first, they probably kept console controllers in head first while actually making the PC controls not dreadful.

I understand the vast majority and will really only pull from my experience. In addition, I know that the PS4 has a larger user base than Xbox One when it comes to individuals who want to play JRPGs. It's not Phantasy Star Online 2 being Xbox/Windows 10 exclusive that I'm worried about, it is that Phantasy Star Online 2 is starting as a timed Xbox exclusive. Being an MMO population is crucial to the success of it. Timed-exclusives are usually done for the sake of games sales, however, I don't imagine Phantasy Star Online 2 is going to be pushing console earnings for a few reasons, the vast majority of men and women who are interested in Phantasy Star Online 2 probably already have a PC to play it on once timed exclusive period is finished, and the console is already at end of life. Meaning, I feel like they are damaging the launch population and prevalence of Phantasy Star Online 2 for nothing.

It'll have play between Xbox and PC so it doesn't matter if the player base skews to individuals playing PC, they will still be plenty of players in the pool. It is hilarious that Xbox players have been begging for years to get some JRPGs such as PS4 has and they eventually land a fairly popular one exclusively and PS4 players are insane they do not get this 1 game after years of feasting on exclusivity for every single JRPG released.I've not seen these insane PS4 players you're speaking about. I am arguing from the perspective of a PC player that's worried about Phantasy Star Online 2 launch functionality, since it is not launching on PC, which is I believe where the great majority of Phantasy Star Online 2s userbase is.

I mean that's great. My only concern is that, by being a timed-exclusive xbox one launch, it is going to hurt the launch of Phantasy Star Online 2 withholding it is PC launch, which is where I envision (maybe incorrectly) that most the playerbase for Phantasy Star Online 2 is. And they're doing this with no advantages (console earnings ) which timed-exclusive launches are utilized for. It's potential, but my experience using FFXIV tells me that PC players constitute the huge bulk of the western playerbase, also on account of the PS4 userbase being considerably larger than the Xbox userbase this gen, I believe that big majority is going to be split even more in favor of PC for Phantasy Star Online 2 (when it comes to Xbox One/PC divide ).
