EA confirmed that Madden NFL 21 wouldn't feature cross platform multiplayer gameplay across different devices.

Madden NFL 21 introduces several new gameplay mechanics to the sequence. Instead of a single ability button, skills are now performed via the ideal analog tick. Skills can be done in combos and strung together, including slides, jukes, spins, and hurdles. The ability stick is used for defending as well, with pass rush moves and block-sheds currently being on the right analog stick.Aaron Donald has been among the most consistently dominant players from the NFL for the past few decades, which can be reflected in his Madden ratings. He's at the 99 Club for the fourth season in a row, making a 99 overall rating again in"Madden NFL 21." As among the greatest players in the game, Donald also includes a Superstar X-Factor ability. This is the second year of the attribute in Madden, giving the elite gamers special abilities that are triggered by recording stats like sacks, pass breakups and rushing yards.

Donald's celebrity ability this season is known as"Blitz," which is activated when he documents two sacks in a game. The reward is that all opposing blockers have their resistance bars wiped when Donald is"in the zone," which makes it much easier to divide the line of scrimmage. Donald is the only participant with all the"Blitz" skill and is one of just 14 defenders with celebrity skills in"Madden NFL 21." With this X-factor along with a 99 overall score, you can wager Donald will be in the backfield often -- whether you are the one using him or if you are playing against him. Two SportsCenter Specials, with the first featuring fantasy draft preparation and the second spotlighting a 10-team draft, will bookend this season's 24+ hour programming block that starts Sunday, Aug. 23 at 8 p.m. ET and finishes on Monday, Aug. 24 at 9:30 p.m.. In between, fantasy football information, positions, analysis, predictions and insights will be intertwined throughout ESPN's studio lineup, highlighted by mature fantasy soccer analyst Matthew Berry revealing his Love/Hate List during a special edition of The Fantasy Show airing Monday day on ESPN2 (3 p.m.).
