Hornets Venom GT wins The Turn tournament

Hornets Venom GT finished off their first title of the tournament by sweeping the semifinals as well as the finals of The Turn in the NBA 2K League on Saturday. Blazer5 Gaming was the Hornets Finals' opponent. They prevailed 76-65 thanks to a 21-11 surge in the fourth quarter. The team then adopted a different approach in the final after going up 19-9 in the first quarter , en route to a 67-59 victory.

Craig "rigby", Burnett Jr. ended the first game with 31 points and nine assists. He also went 11 of 18 from the 3-point line as well as 8 of 12 from the 3-point line. Justin Sherman scored 11 rebounds and 12 points while Peter "PeteBeBallin” Malin scored 24 points.

Matthew "Bash" Robles finished with 15 points and 15 assists for Blazer5, while Marquis "Randomz" Gill and Dayvon "GOOFY757" Curry scored 16 points apiece. In the second game, Sherm finished with 20 points then ribgy scored 18 and PeteBeBallin with 13. Rashann "Scretty” Petty scored 22 points to be the leader of the Blazer5 second game. Bash had 14 points and GOOFY757 added 10 and 15 rebounding.

The Hornets advanced to the finals after beating Heat Check Gaming, 81-47 and 75-63. Blazer5 secured their spot in the finals following a win over Wizards District Gaming 72-67 and 74-67. Rigby was named MVP because he scored an average of 24.5 points in the finals. He also scored 25.5 points in the semifinals, and 21.3 points throughout the team's nine games which they played in the tournament.
