I think exactly what the sport needs is a much better suite of modes, especially for offline play. Squad Battles was helpful for me when I had been learning to play the match, but I compare it to something such as Conquest and Showdown at MLB The Show 21, and I am far more compelled to actually use my players offline in these manners than I am to do anything at FIFA 21. There's plenty EA Sports could do this, but it feels like it's put all of its attention on multiplayer, and abandoned solo drama to languish.
